Should I trade in my 2000 Honda Prelude, for an 2001 Chrysler Sebring Coupe?

Question 1
Should I trade in my 2000 Honda Prelude, for an 2001 Chrysler Sebring Coupe?...  My Honda Is Giving me so many problems,
like the wiring (even the inside gauges and radio),
and suspension (tie rods)

Should i just fix those problems,
or get the Sebring
which has 10,000 less than my Prelude (84,000 miles)

-oh and i still need to buy an alarm for my Honda Prelude

Answers
1)   yes cristler will run on forever man - John

2)   No keep the Honda, just get it repaired or get a book and learn to fix some things, Hondas will run for 200,000 miles, The Chrysler will prob cost you more in the long run. - Roadrunnermike

3)   I wouldn't trade for a Sebring. It was #2 on the 10 worst cars list. So if I were you, I would try to find something better. - Jason K

4)   After retiring from Chrysler with 23 years, I can tell you that the Honda is a better car with all the things wrong with it at this time. I would definitely fix the Honda and drive it as opposed to the Sebring which wasn't that good a car from the start. Sebring coup is a Mitsubishi built car under the Chrysler/Mitsubishi partnership. The Sebring sedan is a Chrysler corporation built car and not much better. - Jackolantern

5)   I would not trade a horse for the Sebring Coupe (Mitsubishi mostly, sold under Chrysler). If you were talking about a Sebring sedan, I 'd consider. Keep looking. - C-Tech

Question 2
Is a crysler crossfire ok?...  My son is very into cars and just got his license. Hes been looking for a car has found one he really likes....an 05 Crysler Crossfire. I had too think about this as this car is a sports car and hes only 16. I know the insurance would probly be a bit higher....but he is very mature and takes good care of things. What do u think...crossfire or not?

Answers
1)   for a Crysler sure one of the last cars most would want to own you know that they been trying to go bankrupt for 40 yrs now has not made a great car in the 40 yrs ive been driving but better than a yugo - kelly_f_1999

2)   Great car, shares its frame, drivetrain, and some interior bits with Mercedes SL. - djaca70

3)   Why not if he's as good a kid as you say, and you can afford the insurance. But the car never sold well. But that does not mean it is a bad car. It's now out of production. People for whatever reason just never paid attention to it.Look online of information.

I can tell you a full set of tires are $1,500.00 per set! If not more by now, that price was over a year ago.

Definitely NOT a good winter car. No traction on snow or ice. The tires are way to wide for that. - escort500xlr

4)   i have one. v6 3.2. come on, be serious, not for a 16 year old., you must have more money than sense. the car is far to powerful for someone with no driving experience. start him off in a 106 or 206 or whatever but not a crossfire. - movana

5)   Here's the thing about a Crossfire. The Crossfire was the first attempt of Chrysler and Mercedes engineers to work together. Mercedes gave Chrysler their old technology to apply Chrysler's new design. It wasn't too successful because the competition already caught up to Mercedes old tech and Chrysler had to cripple its design to fit what they were given. Now with that said, the Crossfire was a fairly reliable, if cramped coupe. It is expensive to repair if something does break (same as Mercedes, BMW, or Audi). The performance is on par with a Mazda Miata or Honda S2000. Tires are expensive (if you do buy it, check the tires - rear tires wear out first). Make sure your get 2 keys (expensive keys). Good luck. - C-Tech

Question 3
Is a 79 plymouth volare worth much?...  I have a 79 plymouth volare in mint condition.
would it be worth much if i sold it.
and what should i sell it for.
like i said it is in new condition all original except it has
mag rims on it.

Answers
1)   I'll give you $50 for it.

--- edit ---
Actually, I take back my offer. I was looking online, and found a site that says it's worth $15.

http://www.justanswer.com/questions/qqnd-1979-plymouth-volare-super-six - pureblueagave

2)   yea for sure - Ophiuchus

3)   WOW that takes me back, that's what i drove all through High school! google "blue book value" and enter car details. - MAN in a BOX

4)   I would not buy it at any price. Looks for a copy of Hemmings Motor News to see if any such vehicles are listed for sale. - regerugged

5)   Two door, four door, slant six, V-8 and if so 318 or 360, automatic trans, three speed with OD, any power options, AM/
FM/CB radio?

Your question is too vague to answer with any accuracy. A two door V-8 has potential (have seen numerous 440's dropped into two door F-bodies) while a four door is basically a nice family car.

Ordered '77 Aspen Special Edition two door (vinyl top delete) in '77, went on honeymoon in it in 5/79 brought our first child home in it in 9/80, sold it in '81, second owner still has it. - Don't know everything !

Question 4
2000 Plymouth Neon stuck in park?...  I moved my neon back without turning the car all the way on and when I tried to start it i noticed the steering wheel was not locked and the key would not turn. I tried rocking the car and turning the wheel at the samee time and moving the shifter and still nothing. what should i try?
It is automatic and I did the bump and roll and jerk and jiggle and still nothing.

Answers
1)   automatic? roll and bump into park - JimT

2)   make sure the foot brake is all the way in. Move the steering wheel while moving the key in the ignition.(jiggle it) some times the steering column gets stuck. - david3f

3)   Take it to the dealer, body control module thinks someone tried to steal it. - Mark

4)   If I understand you correctly, the key will not turn in the ignition, is that correct? If so then a tumbler in the lock may be sticking. If put the key in the lock, tap the head of the key toward the lock (NOT too hard, light to medium taps), and try to turn the key (pliers or vise grips holding the key helps), you'll shake the stuck tumbler loose. Good luck. - C-Tech

Can I use Type F ATF for my 1999 Plymouth Breeze?...  the make is chrysler

Answers
1)   Type F is for Ford products only...Chrysler products have their own type of trannie fluid! - Terry G

2)   No - the proper fluid type is generally printed on the dip stick. - LeAnne

3)   Use only 7176 ATF+4 in your Breeze, a synthetic fluid, any other type will destroy your transmission. Synthetic fluid has been used in Chrysler automatic transmissions since 1990. - Don't know everything !
