Are 130 miles on a 2001 pt crusier good or bad miles?

Question 1
Are 130 miles on a 2001 pt crusier good or bad miles?...

Answers
1)   130? Yes extremely

130,000 still not bad - Amanda

2)   I'm going to assume you are talking 130,000. Which is almost 15,000 a year. Most leases start at 12,000 miles a year. It is a fine number but without knowing the price it really doesn't matter. - Dominic

3)   130 miles of course yes!, or did you mean 130,000 miles (130k)? thats not bad realy they will keep going! - Jazer

4)   it's like right off the lot. . .
13k is very good and 130,000 is ...ok. you have about 30k miles before you run into problems (that is if the engine was taken good care of)

1,300,000 - if it's drivable, I would take it to Guinness, might be in the books! - Calvin

5)   I would say 130 is bad. At that point it can be assumed the the owner has rolled back his odometer at some point.

130,000 tho is fine but why in hell do you want a pt cruiser? - Joe

6)   PT cruisers are tiny cars with an engine that barely fits in the engine bay. I've worked on a few, and they have overheating problems most of the time. And if it was a rental for hertz, or any other place, you can be sure that anyone that drove it abused the hell out of the car. - Dombrus

Question 2
Can you splice a fuel line?...  I have a 1976 Plymouth Volare and a very miniscule slice in the metal fuel line just inside the wheel well has opened. Can a splice be made? What is the best way to do it? And what else should I know?

Answers
1)   I had no idea any of those were still around! You can repair this by using a double compression fitting from your local auto parts store. - Auto A/C Guy

2)   Best thing to do is replace the line but if your just looking for a quick fix, take a piece of rubber hose a few inches long and slice it length wise. Wrap the hose around the slice and put several hose clamps on it to stop the leak. You could also cut out the bad section and just use reinforced hose and hose clamps. - Dylan L

3)   Sure. You can look around and find a fuel filter with compression ends and a couple of pieces of rubber fuel line and a tubing flarer and cut out a portion of the fuel line (where it is leaking), flare the ends, install the rubber line with hose clamps, install the fuel filter with hose clamps and start her up. Check for leaks when finished. - Samboski

4)   For a quick and permanent fix, I would go with Dylan L's suggestion. I have done the same with a small hole in an AC condenser with a lot more pressure than a fuel line and had no problems. - Jackolantern

5)   Sure you can splice a fuel line. You can use a flare fitting, a double flare fitting, a compression fitting, or just a hose and clamps. Someone earlier mentioned using a double compression fitting but that would be pretty hard to do since there is no such thing. Patching with a piece of hose split and put over the line and clamped is not a very good way to repair it and would only be temporary. Replace the line is the best way but after that flaring the tubing and using the proper fitting is the best but the handiest thing is to splice a piece of hose in and be sure not to use rubber hose the gasoline will eat it you need neoprene hose. Gas hose will take the gas but regular rubber hose will not. - Jimbob

6)   Cut the hard line with a 1 inch gap, single flair it, and install a rubber fuel line in the gap, rubber line should be about 2 inches long and hose clamp it at each end, or just make and replace the whole hard line - rick b

Question 3
Where is the fuel filter located in a 2002 chrysler voyager?...

Answers
1)   fuel line filter is under car at r/side near center of car/take a peek you cant miss it - ken k

2)   Your year model it is located right above the fuel tank. I just checked my repair info to make sure. That is why you are having problems finding it. - Mobile Mechanics

3)   in the tank with the pump and they are not separate, you change the filter when the pump dies, what looks like the filter like Ken says is a fuel resonator, keeps the noise of the fuel pump transmitting through the body - rick b

4)   There is 2 filters. One is on the pick-up tube in the tank which is a fine mesh filter and the other is in a molded line that snaps onto the exit tube immediately outside the top of the tank. The molded tubing/filter is one piece and consists or plastic lines and a hollow plastic can immediately coming out of the tank and a filter further down the plastic line. The whole assembly has to be purchased and replaced. The long vans (grand vans) have a longer line/filter assembly than the short vans. The tank has to be tilted down from the middle of the van for the line attachment to the pump module to come off. You don't have to take the straps off, just loosen enough to tilt the tank and lift the line connection up and off the pump module. - Jackolantern
