Should i buy a chrysler sebring?

Question 1
Should i buy a chrysler sebring?...  I am looking into buying a 1997 chrysler sebring and i want to know what i should look for or if they are good reliable cars in general?

Answers
1)   Toyotas and Acuras are the most reliable. They can last 300,000 miles as long as you change the oil every 3,000 miles like you're supposed to. A 97 Sebring is likely to be a dog that will suck away your income like a big vacuum. - UrbanPhotos

2)   Sorry to be a downer, but DO NOT BUY THIS CAR.
Chryslers have a terrible reputation for reliability,
and the sebring in particular has been plagued
with problems. Example: every sebring owner
I've ever met has found that their rear electric windows don't work. There are problems with
the poorly made transmissions, steering linkage, brake rotors, etc, etc. For unbiased reviews of
the cars you are considering, I recommend going to the edmunds.com website and reading the 'owners reviews' section. A little info like this goes a long way to saving you money in repairs. - Mystic WOLF

3)   NO! its a piece of crap.
DONT. - roxi

4)   i am looking for 2004 chrysler sebring and i asked almost the same question one of the answers was like that :

My mom has a '97 Chrysler T&C minivan, with about 167k miles, and it's been a great vehicle - it's held up very well and has been very reliable.

i want to buy the car, but i didnot talk to anyone who had it before. - khaled

5)   no don't get.junk.my EX landlord bought one.and all she had was NOTHING but trouble. - *angel eyes*

6)   Buying a 13 yr old sebring would equivalent to burning a bag of money... - Steve from PA

7)   You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net - Richard

8)   The Sebring is not the most reliable choice out there, but any car can last 300,000 if properly maintained. - Chris G

Question 3
should i buy a chrysler sebring LX 2004 ? what is the con's and the pro's?...  and what the should be the next car that i search for it that looks like the Sebring ?

Answers
1)   OMG yes....thats the one i want.
it looks nice, its big, its a travel car (not just a city car)
the cons idk?? but yes, i love it - angiebear

2)   My mom has a '97 Chrysler T&C minivan, with about 167k miles, and it's been a great vehicle - it's held up very well and has been very reliable. - Ryan M

3)   Think about this way...did Chrysler go bankrupt and close 60% of their stores cause they make good cars?...The government didn't even want to bail Chrysler out because they were so horrible and in the last month Fiat showed interest.. - Steve from PA

4)   You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net - Jimmy

5)   You apparently like the looks of this vehicle. If this is what you would like to have and it is reasonably priced GO FOR IT. As for what I've heard about the sebring people I know that have owned them love em. Is this vehicle within your means financially? How many miles a year do you figure you will drive? How many miles are on it now? I have known people to put 55000 - 60000 miles on a vehicle a year so if it has 120000 miles on it now it wouldn't be in their best interest to buy it. But if you drive 12-15000 miles a year and it has 120000 on it now and you like the vehicle you should expect it to last you 3-4 years or more. In which case this would be smarter than purchasing a new vehicle because it is much cheaper and if you are borrowing money the interest wouldn't be as much because you are borrowing a lot less money. - Jimbob

Question 4
Is a pnchbuggy, and volts waggon the same car?...

Answers
1)   yes and no

a volks wagon is the brand of the car just like ford or honda

volks wagon made the bug - miss.murder

2)   Is a pnchbuggy, and volts waggon the same car? Your spelling is so atrocious that the spell checker couldn't figure it out.. - SVOMAN

3)   The Volkswagon Beetle is considered a punchbuggie. So if you see a red VW beetle, you yell out "punchbuggie red" and punch the shoulder of the person next to you. - kb9pvj

4)   kb9pvj"s answer sounds good to me. Their explanation sounds logical and I have heard the phrase 'punch buggy' about 35 years ago but here in the midwest we played ...slug a bug... That was what we called the game where you spot a Volkswagon bug and .. slug.. the person next to you. Volkswagon is german volk means people wagon means car so when they started making these cars that were for the mass population that they could afford the name peoples car or "volkswagon" is what they called their brand of cars. - Jimbob

5)   OK now I get it!!!!!
Read this question this morning and kinda went.....HUH?

You're talking about a SLUG-BUG !!!!!!

Here's the rules.
When driving with family or friends (in my case my son who taught me the game) whomever see's a Volkswagon bug, beetle, super beetle or new beetle first gets to slug the person next to them in the arm.

Scoring goes..
Newer beetle = 1pt
Older beetle or bug = 2pts

If two people see the bug at the same time they both slug eachother but no point is scored.

The game lasts as long as the trip lasts, then starts over from zero next trip.

And if your playing with your child he is allowed to slug you as hard as he can but you can only give him light love taps. (just common sense).

Have fun! - Dave

Question 5
Why did Chrysler stop making Plymouth vehicles?...

Answers
1)   They dropped the line in a cost cutting effort...It was around 2001. - Johnny Rotten

2)   There were no sales. It got to be such that a Dodge was the same as a Plymouth and they were just grabbing each others sales so one of them caught the axe. - Samboe

3)   because plymouth is the cheap version of dodge..and plymouth is junk that's why. - *angel eyes*

4)   Between Plymouth and Dodge they were spending a lot on advertising to compete against themselves. Since most Plymouth models were the same as Dodge or Chrysler with slightly different trim Plymouth wasn't needed to give customers more choices. The PT Cruiser was the only unique car with the Plymouth name and that was simply rebadged as a Chrysler. It's the same reasons why GM dropped Oldsmobile and Pontiac. Neither brand had anything that couldn't be sold as a Chevy or Buick - winterrules
