How do the Chrysler 300's run?

Question 1
How do the Chrysler 300's run?...  So, i'm looking for a car, and i really love the way the 300's look, but i also want a car that runs well. any advice?
so, Chryslers arent reliable?

Answers
1)   If you mean runs well as in fast a hemi powered 300 is a fun car. If you mean runs well as reliable it is a Chrysler. - 67Bronco

2)   Chryslers are not known for "running good", especially if it is an older car, if the car is newer and has a warranty, go for it, otherwise, look elsewhere. - eddie b

3)   I owned an 05 300c mechanically it never gave me a problem and actually got surprisingly good gas mileage for a car with a 340 hp v8 in it.I did have issues with the interior and exterior like the cheap plastic visor clips breaking and the chrome bubbling on the door handles.I also had to have the instrument cluster replaced. On the plus side these issues were fixed by Chrysler at no charge to me.No car is perfect nor is there a perfect car manufacturer. - Amy m

4)   They are big cars that run fast and are comfortable. As a mechanic there are few failures that leave you on the side of the road. Some trim issues. Most problems are self inflicted by people trying to modify them. - C-Tech

5)   I've had my 300 Touring for 3 years and have had zero mechanical problems. It runs better than great. It it an absolute pleasure to drive. Responsive pickup, turns on a dime and is super quiet. - cbjr

Question 3
I just had my struts changed and two new tires on my 2001 PT Cruiser and was charged $1100. Is that to much?...
I want to know if I was overcharged and by how much, not to get my money back, but because that is the shop where my parents have always taken our cars and if they did overcharge I would like to start taking it somewhere else to get worked on.

Answers
1)   yes it is but it is too late now. - Scott W

2)   If you were overcharged, you wont get your money back. So whats the difference if $1100 was too much or not? - Store Brand Mayonnaise

3)   Without all the details its hard to say. For example, were these top-of the line tires and struts? Did they include new strut mounts? Was the cost of the alignment included? (if it did not include alignment I would want to talk to a manager). Was there any other maintenance or repairs included? - C-Tech

4)   The shop that does my tire work replaced all the struts on my Infiniti a couple years ago, and that was a shade under $900, so I'd say this is probably in the ballpark. - Windowphobe

1)   It's a standard 5 lug wheel. Just tighten them in opposite order. 1,3,5,2,4. Quite a boat, I had a '67 Dodge Monaco so I know how big they are! In 2006 I purchased a used 2005 PT Cruiser. Would the 7yr 70,000 mile warranty transfer to me?...  Or is that warranty only good for the original buyer?

Answers
1)   The warenty SHOULD transfer.

Check the small print in the paperwork. - Jeff

2)   Yep. Warranties are for the specific vehicle, not the owner. Warranty information is recorded by the VIN # etched into the dashboard and several other places on the vehicle. The warranty is specific to the vehicle, not the owner. - eckopariah

3)   Chrysler warranties transfer from my experience on the last 2 vehicles we have purchased. - doane_nut
