Is a Chrysler 300 a good buy?

Question 1
Is a Chrysler 300 a good buy?...  everyone i know says chrysler is a very realible luxury car...less expensive than a cadillac...i know chrysler beats BMW in reviews...one thing i am concerned with is that it is RWD...is this a major problem? like the car weighs a lot...will it being RWD be a HUGE problem in the snow? Does it have good traction systems?

Answers
1)   That car is junk. Black folks think they're Bentley's. - Jimmy

2)   try this site (i've used it): http://top-biz7.notlong.com/5AATLhh - Kenna Evarts

3)   Its a good reliable car and yes you can drive it in the snow just fine. People have been driving RWD cars and trucks in the snow since the cars and trucks were created.

Its not a BMW or Caddy but then again its much cheaper than both of them. - emiller1998

4)   yes, only if you want the car for maximum of 3 years. after that, american made cars are junk. they start falling apart. if you really want the car, wait for the next generation model, carmaker has been talking about it for years, i think the debut is in february?? there will be many new improvements. great technology. and buy the all-wheel drive. i have a jeep with the same problem--E.T.C. is not working, nor can the RWD work in the snow. you can get a better deal on this than you can on a bmw, mercedes etc. but if i had to chose btw. this and its other american competitors, like cadillac or buick, i would definetely go for the buick lacrosse. you need to check it out. the car looks stunning. - todd

5)   The Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Charger are good full size cars. The independent rear suspension and traction control system are shared with Mercedes so they are top notch and reliable in all weather.. The 3.5 and Hemi engines are reliable and produce good power. Common failures are egr valves at about 70,000 miles, and minor trans leak at the electrical connector. An all-wheel -drive was also built but are somewhat hard to find. Always drive and have ANY used car inspected before buying. Check for serious accident damage. - C-Tech

Question 2
Thermostat location on 3.5 v6 concorde?...

Answers
1)   upper heater hose at the intake manifold - jjvikings08

2)   Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the intake manifold. The thermostat housing will be held in place by 2 bolts. After removing it, you will come to the thermostat. - badbill1941

3)   Follow the top rad hose it will bring you to the thermostat housing, I recommend that you disconnect that hose but drain some coolant out of the rad first off.Once you remove the thermostat be sure that you put a clean rag where the thermostat was to avoid and dirt etc getting in there. Then clean the area well both sides of the thermostat housing should be smooth/clean and quite dry before you remove the cloth and install the new thermostat.

I suggest that you use gasket maker instead of the thermostat gasket bec it will seal the whole thing well and prevent or stop any possible minor leaks, just don't over tighter the two housing bolts and clean them too before reusing them.Just be sure to use the right factory recommended thermostat and if you want the most heat possible for the winter then use a winter thermostat whenever possible or increase the mixture to 60% anti-freeze and 40% distilled water.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way this is a good time to change the coolant if you know it's in need of it or at least test the quality and mixture of the coolant with a anti-freeze tester it should be mixed 50/50 or for a good -40c, plus you might want to bleed the coolant system after you change the thermostat etc. - helpful bob

4)   Kindof hard to get at, it fits into engine block straight below alternator. - done wrenching

Question 3
My 98 Plymouth Grand Voyager wont start on first turn of key?...  It starts, runs STRONG but to get it started I have to hold the key for maybe 5 to 6 seconds. I just had lots of work done on this car over the last year.(new transmission, water pump, all belts, new head gasket, new cylinder heads, plugs, wires) not at once but over the year! I did run it out of gas! fuel filter maybe? car has 148,000 drives like new!
Bat was replaced in september also! it turns over, the starter spins. Its almost like trying to start a car without gas! I haven't tried pressurizing the fuel system (turn the key to acc without starting car 3 or 4 times)I also forgot to mention it only does this when its cold! not warm.

Answers
1)   Mabey its your batterry. Not enough power. - Joe

2)   Id say your batterys not holding a good charge or your ignition module is going out - joseph b

3)   I would put a gauge on the fuel lines to check the pump. I would also replace the filter. Then make sure the ERG is not leaking by removing and plugging the control vacuum line, and seeing that it does not heat up. Check the mass air sensor for PVC condensation. Check the engine temp sensor with an ohmmeter (generally they to 0 or infinite when bad.) - Motorhead
