car chrysler neon 1997 2.0 lire 16v?

Question 1
car chrysler neon 1997 2.0 lire 16v?...  the oil light on my car came on and stayed on, we checked the oil water and thats fine my hubby not sure if its the oil switch oil filter or worse!
can anyone give us some advise pleaseeeee

1)   Best thing is to change the switch and see what happens. Then try oil and filter. If no better then get garage to check oil pressure. - focus

2)   The light means one of two things -
1. The oil pressure is too low to run the engine safely - maybe due to low oil level or a bad oil pump.
OR
2. The oil pressure sender somewhere in the engine block is faulty.

3)   change oil oil filter and switch and it will be fine (5w/50)this is a common fault on these-on mine it was so regular i disconnected the switch! - olliewobbles

**btw make sure u change the fluid and filter every 45k so the trans doesn't go out....chrystler's are notorious for this....especially the PT cruisers... - Karle

I own a 2001 chrysler sebring, experiencing a burning smell coming from engine. ?...  temp gauge is normal, no warning lights, recently serviced...anyone have same issue?

1)   recently serviced? maybe the service person spilled oil or tranny fluid on the engine... check your fluid levels and if it continues for more than a week go back and ask the service people what's up. - breeze

2)   I had a similar issue with a Jeep I just bought. Check your trans fluid lines for leaks. My trans lines were rubbing on exhaust to the point where they leaked a bit. Then it got bad, really smokey. Had it fixed at a local, reputable shop. not sure just how lines got moved, but all is fine now.
Also, check dipsticks (engine oil, and ATF to be sure they are seated. Check for leaks from valve cover leaking oil down engine onto exhaust. - GTCturboII

Chrysler Sebring - Weird noise help me please?...  I have a 97 LXI with a 2.5L engine. Inside the front bumper, on the passenger side there is a black sphere that sounds like like a bad air compressor. What is this thing called? I know it has something to do with the emissions system.

2)   Its the vacuum canister for the cruise control. Just have it replaced. - C-Tech
