3)   Does it run in the family? - thebax2006

4)   This is a major problem, and it,s been going on for years...Stolen cars, trucks and bikes are hard to trace when you get into another country...Ever seen any of the gone in 60 seconds movies? All these cars were headed over seas were you can sell them at an expanded price an not have to worry about cops or anything like that...About a year ago a guy got his 68 corvette back after being missing for almost 20 years...It was in a container on it,s way over seas,,,Luckily with the 9/11 the inpsections on containers over seas they found the car before being sent overseas.. - Johnny Rotten

5)   Well sorry to say there is nothing you can do but file a local police report, the country of Israel will not investigate or arrest your husband because of something he did in the USA ( they got better things to do) and they most defiantly wont extradite him back the the USA for the offense. Hundreds of kids are kidnapped by mostly fathers to Israel and the middle east and it takes years to get them back if at all and you are worried about a car and motorcycle? Try your insurance company. Trust me no one in Israel cares whether you did or did not know he did the crime - rick b

Question 3
Any good and inexpensive ways I can "MAN UP" my 2006 chrysler town and country?...  Just looking for a few ideas from the peeps out there, ya know, so I don't feel like such a minivan drivin daddy...

Answers
1)   Sell it.

Or get over your ego, and realize that it's a source of transportation, not a reflection of how much, or how little of a man you are.

Seriously. If you need your vehicle to announce that for you, you're not much of one to start with.... - Vipassana

2)   lol, hell yea, i feel ya. the cheapest upgrade to an engine is exhaust and intake. get aftermarket exhaust and airfilter and thats the cheapest upgrade that makes a difference. im not sure how much of a upgrade thats gonna make on a minivan though. maybe you should talk somebody into letting you get a toy, or maybe a motorcycle. lol. - POKE

3)   cut off the roof with a chain saw and cover it with atarp when it rains or jack it up and remove the van portion and install a corvette portion. - TAG

4)   You should sell it and buy a four door charger!!!If not sell it then bolt on a set of spinners and curb feelers will help...Maybe some white wall tires too!!! - Johnny Rotten

Question 4
04 town and country chrysler steering wheel vibrates when turning wheel in park?...  engine running

Answers
1)   Doing this is very hard on the power steering pump. It is getting weak with age and will eventually fail. - Otto

2)   so fill the power steering reservoir,,,its empty/low.. - pedro7of9

3)   This is a fairly common occurrence, the pump is working extra hard to change the tire direction when the vehicle is parked. If the tires are wide, under inflated, or the power steering reservoir is low on fluid it will occur more frequently.

Check power steering fluid level just to be sure it is within limits, the van probably has an integrated power steering reservoir and it is clearly marked. Check your front tires for proper inflation as under inflated tires will be more difficult to turn when the van is stationary. - Don't know everything !

4)   There is a TSB to add a longer power steering cooler return line to your van. Cost is probably around 150.00 parts and labor to fix your problem. - Gregory A

Question 5
I need to know how to program a Factory Key to a PT Cruiser. Swapped Steering Colums?...  The ignition cylinder was locked up and wouldn't turn. I bought a used colum and swapped it out including the ignition. When I jumped the car it only ran for a few seconds and died. I took the battery in to be charged, why would I have to get the key programed since I used the same ignition it came with, just swapped the colum. Please help!!!!!

Answers
1)   You have turned a $100 repair into a $500 + nightmare. All you needed was to have a couple of bent tumblers replaced. Now you will have to have a full parameter reset by the dealer or an auto locksmith and two NEW keys programmed once the modules in the new column are 'married' to the car's ECU and SKIM/SKREEM. The Chip in Chrysler/Dodge keys 'lock' to the originally configured modules when programmed.

Computerized ignitions are NOT DIY friendly projects. Call a Professional Locksmith or dealer tech unless you enjoy spending 5X the money.

You cannot program keys to the vehicle yourself. - Hillbilly Locksmith

2)   The sentry key immobilizer feature on that model is built into the instrument cluster not any part of the column that's why the keys that came with your column wont work yet. They can be programmed easily by your dealer. It takes about 5 minutes and most dealers will do this for free or for a small fee. Only problem is you will have to get the car to the dealership.
Best of Luck! - Dave

3)   Your car has a sentry key immobilizer system. The key transmits a signal to the receiver box (the antenna is the black ring around the lock cylinder. the antenna is connected to the box ). When you swapped the columns you swapped the immobilizer (skim) receivers. You'll need the get your old receiver box from the old column and mount it to your new column. Then you'll need to get your PT to the dealer to program new keys. The other alternative is the take your old column to a locksmith, have the ignition lock repaired and reinstall the old column. Good luck. - C-Tech
