Question 2
2007 Town & country Lx is it a good car?...  Local car dealer has one for $7995 with 100,000 miles on it. Offers 3 months power train warranty. Is this a good car to have. Does it run good, or does it need a lot of maintenance

Answers
1)   I see it as a old-timers car. Hopefully they thow in a free box of stogies. Had a Chrysler ... ONCE ... never again. - Client_u

2)   You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net - Mick

3)   Check with the Red Book dealers price. If it is in excellent condition, then it may be worth a little more than dealer book price, but not much. I worked for Chrysler dealership for 23 years and have owned 3 minivans that served me way beyond expectations. I am driving a 2005 Town and Country that I love. Chrysler minivans are the flag ships of the company so they put all the best stuff into them. The 3.3/3.8 engines are far superior than most V6 out there including foreign makes. If the van is in good condition, 100,000 miles won't hurt it. But I would spend a little to have it checked over by an independent mechanic before I bought it. And be sure to get the power train warranty in writing with a break-down on exactly what is covered because Chrysler itself stops warranty at 100,000 miles. And no, they don't need much maintenance. - Jackolantern

Question 3
how much should i pay for a new bcm (body control mudule) to be purchased and installed?...  the dealer is trying to charge me over $700 for a new bcm. is this a good price? or are they getting over....? please help!

Answers
1)   Whats the make, year and model of vehicle? - helpful bob

2)   Depending on the vehicle it sounds about right .You cannot take one from another vehicle and just put it in. - Gregory A

3)   You know imhim, like all other things, maybe you could shop around to other dealers by phone. Just ask for the parts dept. And also know that you may not get a new BCM, but a refurbished one which should be just as good. Also check with your local parts stores and you could find an after market one that could very well be made by the same company minus the Chrysler logo for a lot less money. Once the Chrysler or Mo Par logo goes on, the price doubles. But be sure to use the parts no. from your PCM to get another one. They come in 3 different types to match what all your car has on it. Basic, Mid range and high end. - Jackolantern

Question 4
can i get my money back from chrysler?...  my mother died on dec 15. i called crysler finacnial to tell them. they would not give me any information on her account, unless i was exector of the estate. i said i was. then CF told me i had to make payments toward the account. but still could not give me any info, that i was to goto the local dodge dealer and have them do this, so i made payments, till i could find time to go down to dealership, they called and got all kinds of info by just giving them their employie number. at this time they said i had to be court appointed exeutor. then when i called again later, they said they would not help me at all. after 5 min of discussing, i asked sence im not responsable to pay for this account, why was i told i had to. no reply from CF. then i ask sence im not responsable and you can not give me any help on her account, then can i have all the money i paid into this account back, CF response was: you are entitled to get the money back, because your name is not on the account, we are not going to give it back, because we dont have to, and we are not going to. now the question is, how do i get my money back, do i have to hire a attorney or can i file through a goverment agency, like consumer protection, bbb, or any other services?

Answers
1)   If you made payments on a vehicle that your mother owned, they were credited against the loan balance. If doesn't matter who made the payments. They stay there and CF isn't obligated to give you anything back.

When your mother died, you had several options. You could have called CF as executor of the estate and asked them to let you take over the loan and ownership of the vehicle (if you wanted it). You could have purchased the vehicle from your mother's estate and paid off the CF loan (again, if you had wanted the car). As executor, you could have continued to make payments from your mother's estate and then sold the car, using the proceeds to pay off the loan and obtain a clear title for the buyer. Or, you could have taken the car back to the dealership, handed them the keys, and said, "Here you go".

You, individually, as the executor of the estate, have no personal responsibility to make loan payments, and they can't make you. If someone told you you "had" to make payments, they are full of bull.

And, if you had taken the car back to the dealer and dropped it off, so what? CF would have had it picked up and re-sold it then billed your mother's estate for any remaining amount due to them. And, if your mother's estate did not have the assets to pay, what are they going to do? Sue her? She's dead. If you managed your mother's estate responsibly, they can't come after you. - Mike

2)   Good luck with CF. It took 2 months and 6 phone calls just to get a cleared title from them. I can only imagine how bad it is going to be to get money back.

Do what the other guy said. Take the car to the dealer and walk away. - Joe Mama

Question 5
What Lambda O2 sensor do I need for a 3.3 Grand Voyager 2001 ?...  I know it is a bosch but without taking it out I do not know if its a three or four wire, can anyone help, many thanks

Answers
1)   there are more then one o2 sensor maker, make sure you get the one will fit in your car, not by looking at the maker. It work like the spark plug makers.

I would say get it from ebay..

that's the one.

make sure it's Automatic

2)   A quick browse just brought up a couple of Fuel Parts numbers, depending on if its the front (pre-cat) sensor needed or rear (post-cat) sensor.
The front one is LB2050, the rear is LB2051. Most motor factors should recognise these numbers as most use Fuel Parts, either as their main or back-up supplier.

PS the fact that its a Bosch one on there should not make a difference, these people know their stuff and do a lot of research . - Crabclaw002
