Chrysler cirrus horn not loud?

Question 1
Chrysler cirrus horn not loud?...  I have 99 chrysler cirrus and the horn isnt as loud as my old one and i was wondering is there a way to turn up the volume on the orginal factory horn or do i have to buy a new one?

Answers
1)   You have to buy a new one. - Boring

2)   a new one is probably best but you would probably be best not going through the manufacturer for it - HereiAm

3)   It's possible your horns aren't working correctly, or only one is working (it has a high note and low note horn). There is no way to turn them up louder.

Factory horns will cost about $70 each, so check with the local aftermarket parts store to see what they have. Best to remove the horn and bring it with so you can make sure it will work. Most factory horns will use a plug-in connector, which may have to be modified to fit an aftermarket horn. - Mark B

4)   DUDE YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE A BRAND NEW ONE.. there is actually something wrong with it. Either the horn itself, or the wires loosened up over the weather. - awesomelock

Question 2
Any idea why my key won't turn in my 1999 Plymouth Voyager?...  So I just got this car from my dad. It's a great car and I have been able to start it earlier today without much of an issue but when I turned into my driveway to quickly grab something and I came back out I can't turn the key. It will beep to tell me I have a key in the ignition, the key will un/lock the doors, but it won't budge.

I tried turning the wheel, I tried flipping it over, I tried wiggling it. It just won't budge. Any suggestions?

2)   try moving the shifter, its probably the steering lock pin so really give the wheel a turn or shake - mykwilwin

3)   Apparently this is a problem with a lot of cars, but is more so with the Voyager series for some reason. I would have to guess that you parked the car with your tires not straight. If this is the case, your "steering is off centre it is pushing back on the column lock so you have alot of friction to overcome to turn the key". For most cars just turning the steering wheel (something that will turn the tires even if the car is off) will relieve the pressure and fix the problem, but it appears as though the Voyager won't do this for some reason (perhaps power steering).

As the source I found said says:
"An immediate fix is to tap on the metal ignition lock (right where the key goes in) firmly with a solid object that fits the diameter (or less) of the ignition lock. Usually, this will free the lock until you park crooked again." The head of a screwdriver should fit perfectly.

Make sure you are covering the ignition lock and not inserting the head of the screwdriver into the hole where the key goes in. The screwdriver should cover the borders of the key hole while not being over the plastic that protects the key hole. (don't want to crack that plastic after all, just relieve pressure on the metal ignition lock).

Does a 2003 Chrysler Voyager have anti-lock brake system (ABS)? How can I tell if my vehicle does?...

1)   it should have ABS since it's a family car but i dont know if it does - Adenis

2)   It should because most newer family vehicles like that do have ABS. Look at your break pedal and see what it says. - Caleb

3)   the best way to find out is if the car doesn't stop immediatly if you press the pedal hard they will slow down but wil not start drifting - Brian

Question 4
Resell Price of 1970 Plymouth Duster?...  Well, this is my first post. So hello everyone.

First off, i'm 17 and i currently own a 2004 Ford Mustang V6.
I have been wanting to sell it and have been hoping to get $8,500 out of it at most.

Secondly, I have been offered a trade by someone who owns a 1970 Plymouth Duster 340. It wouldn't be something i would want to keep for a long time, depending on how much it would be worth. My dad's friend knows a lot about cars so I was going to get him to check it out before i went through with it to make sure everything's okay. I am wanting some advice on this as I don't know much about classic cars.
I have seen prices for these all over the place on equally nice looking Duster's. So im not really sure what to expect if I try to resell this.

About the car he has.
It is restored with a rebuilt 340 engine, less than 1,000 miles after rebuild.

I don't really know much about it other than that. Im just wanting some feedback from some people that actually know what they're talking about. Because I don't know what to think when it comes to classic cars.
Also, what problems should i be looking for or worried about. Or what other considerations should I have.

2. I'm not really wanting to keep the plymouth. But yes thats very true.
Not wanting to keep it for a very long time, that is. I need a daily driver right now and that wouldnt work.

1)   it looks to be a nice car.first off your better off haveing the duster if your looking for a car to have a good value down the road becouse every day you have that mustang its value is going down no matter how you take care of it.that duster is going to go up in value if you take care of it - robert d

2)   First of all, while it looks nice, it is not original. Neither the exterior or the engine are correct for this model. That means that ultimately it's worth less. Exactly how much it's worth is really hard to say without a close examination, because that's what is needed to put a value on it. Certain Dusters in the right condition could conceivably approach 100k, others might be worth less than your Mustang.
You will probably find it gets worse mileage and doesn't handle as well as your car. It may not be as comfortable or have all the conveniences you are used to. - D

3)   The duster is worth more than the ford....Your fuel milage in the duster will not be all that good...Parts are fairly cheap and any shade tree mechanic like me can fix it...Check out ebay just to see how much the duster is worth... - Johnny Rotten

what is wrong with my 2004 chrysler pacifica when I press on the brakes and it makes a crunching sound?...  it makes a crunching popping noise when i down on the brakes and come to a stop. i don't know if it is the brakes or struts or shocks?

1)   1 look at pads..most cars you can look see through spaces in wheel see if rotors are grooving/grinding
2 go to shop..most will check for free

2)   The brake pads are glued to a metal backing that allows them to be placed in the caliper. When you step on the brake pedal, the brake pads come in contact with a metal rotor. This friction stops your car. When the brake pad material wears completely out, then when you apply your brakes, you are left with the metal backing coming into contact with the metal rotor. The crunching sound you hear is the 2 different metal objects rubbing against each other.

The repair is to replace the brake pads & rotors. - BR Tiger fan
