Question 2
2005 chrysler t&c replaced tranny changed filter and fluid ran great 4 few min, getting msg loss of pump prime?...  please tell me there maybe be hope for this tranny still

Answers
1)   Sounds like you need to have a pro look at it. - badbill1941

2)   From the code or msg it sure sounds like the fuel pump is acting up , you need to check the fuel pressure on it.Otherwise that msg means that the transmission fluid pump is acting up I'd scan it to be sure exactly what the code or codes are.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way it's vital on those to use the exact factory recommended transmission fluid and when ever you change the fluid and filter the transmission should be put into the learning mode via a dealership or a transmission shop.Really you need a proper scan performed on it that equipment can scan and detect any errors and you might want to try and find a mechanic on wheels service that way they come to you , just be sure they have the proper test equipment , plus they could put the transmission control module into the learning mode etc. - helpful bob

3)   Were you getting the loss of prime code before you changed the fluid? Did you replace the transaxle? A little more information will really help in a closer diag for you. - Mike J

Question 3
What does PT stand for re: PT Cruiser?...

Answers
1)   The name PT Cruiser includes the initialism PT, standing for and designating the car's platform as well as production code. The name also recalls the 1930s line of Plymouth Trucks known by the "PT" moniker. - louis88

2)   How about a Poor Truck, they are junk, based on a neon platform, cheap undersized parts, lots of troubles! - onlyoldiron4me

3)   The Chrysler pre-release literature (from 1999, for release in 2000) states that it stands for "Personal Transportation".

There may have been some other references internally by the workers for the PT, but their official stand is "Personal Transportation" - Mark B

Question 4

The car was had it's m.o.t 3 days ago.
The brakes were fine untill this

Answers
1)   things break, good news is, its not your servo youve just done a wheel cylinder (brake)

look inside each wheel rim one ought to have brake fluid allover it...

and if you read the bottom of the MOT, it clearly states, this vehicle is only guaranteed passed on teh day of issue. it is not a statement f roadworthyness. (because things break)

it shouldnt cost too much either, and if your a dab hand with a spanner, its only a case of removing the wheel, and swapping out the cylinders, and rebleed the system.. expect to pay around 75 100 quid in a garage. - fivetoze

2)   First and most importantly - check the fluid level in the master cylinder.
If it's full, you need a master cylinder - if either reservoir is empty, you'll need to find the leak. Most often a rusted and corroded brake line. - LeAnne

3)   Just like Leane said. First check your master cylinder reservoir, If is full then you need a new master cylinder. if it is empty, then check the inside wall of your rear tires, Usually one of them will be wet. You will need to replace both of the rear wheel cylinders even if only one leaks. but if neither of the rear tires are wet, then check the brake lines from the master cylinder to each tire. it should be easy to spot a leak. Good Luck. - King

Question 5
1960-1967 Chrysler 300 Wiring Diagram?...  Hello all,

Would someone know where i can find a electrical wiring diagram for the Chrysler 300 if the diagram is the same as 1967 then any year would help. any help is appreciated need this asap.

Answers
1)   You may have to contact Hennings or the WPC club. - badbill1941

2)   Your best bet is to check on eBay for a shop manual. It will be the best 50-80 bucks you will ever invest in your car. Mostly because it covers what you are looking for and much more.

The closest range for your wiring diagram is 66-68. Anything before or after that range will be way too different right down to the types of connectors (firewall bulkheads) and such. Keep in mind that earlier 300's (1960-63) had push button 727's and electroluminescent instruments; so they had entirely different layouts.

There are other automotive literature vendors out there, but I am confident yo will find what you are looking for on eBay. If I can find parts for my 62 Imperial there, you can find anything there...

Feel free to reach me off line on my Yahoo email if you have any particular question. I may be able to answer it and help you out.

Good luck. - Delamothe
