Why are chrysler cars so terrible?...  They really are just terrible .

4)   Because a)they don't care, b)people don't care and keep buying them, and c)they put out these pompous patriotic advertisements for cars that aren't made in America.

For examples of c)the recent george washington advertisements for the challenger. It's made in CANADA. They also have these tough Dodge Ram advertisements...a lot of them are made in Mexico. People are dumb enough not to check or care as long as they wrap the flag around it. Sad state of affairs. "I'm not buying a Toyota made in Indiana, I'm buying a ram made in Mexico"...FAIL.

Tundra is about as American a truck one could buy...made in San Antonio Texas. That's just an example of the mentality. - Hank Scorpio

They are actually some good American-made cars. I own my first Chrysler: A Town and Country 2009 Limited van. It runs great. Chrysler makes the ONLY vans that you can put the passenger seats into the floor. All other makes you have to take the seats out and put them somewhere. - Tara662

Im looking at a 2000 Plymouth Neon?...  I am looking to buy a 2000 Plymouth Neon and im getting mixed reviews. It has 120k miles and is in absolutely great condition. What do you think?

1)   If it is in great condition and the price is right, I see no reason not to buy...
Once you get it make sure the oil is changed and the tires rotated to put
the best ones on front and inflate them properly... - Pat

3)   I did have a neon - this is an absolute TON of miles for a cheap car - avoid - roadrunner426440

4)   I have a 1996 kia Sephia with 122,000 miles on it. It runs great. As long as whoever had the Neon before takes care of it I don't see an problems. Most newer cars (after 1990) can easily go 200K plus. I has a 1991 Olds Custom Crusier that had 300k on it when I sold it. it still ran fine. - gary

5)   Single cam 4 cylinder in the 00s is rank; no one used that in the US except chrysler. In fact the previous engine used (the 420a) had dual cams (it was still horrible). Run away unless it's got SRT-4 on the trunk lid. - Hank Scorpio

Need help withEvap Valve for 2002 Chrysler Concorde fuel tank!!!!?...  I was replacing my fuel pump for my 02 Chrysler concorde, and as we were taking it out 2 pieces at the top broke. I was told the one piece was called an EVAP VALVE or CANISTER. It is basically the only other thing that went into the Fuel Tank other then the Fuel pump. it had one fuel line going into the tops of it, and the plastic piece to that broke, so i figure i need a new EVAP VALVE or CANISTER. My question is, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE, AND CAN NOT SEEM TO FIND THIS PART OFFLINE, OR ONLINE. I am not to sure if this is what the part is called, but can somebody tell me if this is the right name, and were can I buy this part??? please and thank you!

1)   You broke the fitting where the line goes forward, up the the evaporation canister, which is under the hood somewhere. The takes the gas fumes in the top of the tank and vents them thru this charcoal canister. As the fumes go thru the canister, it gas is absorbed by the charcoal. It stays there until the engine is started, them the engine suction thru the evap valve sucks the gas fumes from the charcoal and burns them in the engine. The engine burns what otherwise would be vented to the outside. The car can run fine without the system, but you'll have to plug the hole where the broken fitting was, to keep the fumes from seeping inside the car. It's also possible you'll get an error message from the computer. - rick29148

4)   I'd try getting the whole assembly from a U pull auto wreckers there are a few vehicles like yours and a few different years that have a lot of the same parts.

1)   Nothing, it is a sequence designation going back to 1957 I believe with the '57 300 C. The 300 letter cars were the performance oriented versions with available 375 hp dual carb 392 Hemis, and in the early 60's with the long ram dual carb 413 Wedges. - ChangoJaiYen

2)   It doesn't stand for anything. The new 'M' is simply a marketing ploy to give the new car some of the cache of the old letter series Chrysler muscle cars. - top-down

4)   They wanted you to think of it as a successor to the letter-series 300s of the 1950s and 1960s. (First was the C300 in '55, followed by the 300B in '56, 300C in '57, down to the 300L in '65; there was no 300I.)

And the letter-series 300s were fabulous cars. The best of the bunch might have been the 300C, with a 392 Hemi rated at a conservative 375 hp. - Windowphobe

1)   I believe they are different body styles, and not interchangeable. call a wrecker with an interchange catalog to make sure. - badbill1941
