what is the cost to replace front brakes on a 2003 chrysler voyager?

Question 1
what is the cost to replace front brakes on a 2003 chrysler voyager?...  The van is making a grinding sound

Answers
1)   It can cost anywhere from $80 to $200 depending on the condition of the rotors, calipers, bearings ect. - Eminence Vox

2)   a lot cheaper than now , since the grinding started....your brake shoes are shot, so the bare caliper is grinding down your rotor....so they'll prolly tell you a new rotor for both sides, new calipers and new shoes...
cost can be from $50 to $200 depending on where you go and what you get done. - Abey c

3)   It will cost $69.99 at Midas, and it's guaranteed for life. Read the fine print, though. Get it there safely, and do it before you cause major damage. - dale b

4)   If it is making a grinding sound then the rotors are ruined. Plan on $150 to 250 depending on the damage now. - C-Tech

5)   More like $3-400 since it sounds like you will need rotors also. - doane_nut

6)   call parts store ask for price on brake pads and rotors might be under 100 go to a shop might be 500 my wife replaces her own brake as do i which is easy

just type into search box
how to replace brake pads
how to replace brake rotors

but you can call three local shops and a better answer knowing that you most likley mess up rotors if you hear gringing you have gone to far shoul dhave had brake repalce months ago just cost you more money could have replace brake pads 30 bucks 1 hour work not much harder than replacing a flat tire pretty simple job really been doing brakes 40 yrs myself never had to take a car to have them done - kelly_f_1999

Question 3
why was i so stupid to buy a Chrysler?...  Town and Country minivans have been around forever you would think they'd figure out how to build them by this point, but no. I have one with 40k miles which is in the process of having its 3rd auto transmission installed. Wow now that's that American craftmanship so many are so proud of. Next time it's a Honda or Toyota for me.

Answers
1)   i do not believe you are stupid to buy a crysler i hae a crysler and it works great perhaps you just had a bad one - leonard c

2)   Unfortunately, Town and Country minivans are notorious for having issues. In my opinion, Chrysler has dropped the ball quite a bit in the past few decades. Hopefully they get back on track. - subaru360lover

3)   Agreed, My dad owns a Chrysler Voyager which is basically the predecessor to the Town and Country.
He has ALWAYS had problems with it and complains about how often it craps out and how often he has to get it fixed. - brian_van_pham

4)   My mom has a '97 Town & Country with almost 170k miles, and the transmission has never been rebuilt. There are several other people in my neighborhood with T&C vans, and they haven't had transmission problems. What exactly is the problem with your trans? Are the clutch packs wearing out? Is it the torque converter or a servo, or pump? - Ryan M

5)   I have owned Chryslers since 1985 and they have always been the most reliable cars to me, I have never owned a town and country but had a 1990 Voyager and it ran like new with 200K on it when I sold it. Sorry to hear of your problems, thats werid 3 bad transmissions. If it is on the 3rd time being fixed I think you can use the lemon law and have that vehicle replaced, if you bought it new with a warranty from the dealer, that is. - Stampy Skunk

6)   I don't think anyone is stupid for buying a minivan since 1984. It's view of the road, family comfort and closeness were unique and second to none. I bought one in 1984 from a nice woman who just lost her young husband, had 3 children, and was throwing the van away. I fixed it, paid her for it, and gave it back to her. If you had a problem with your transmission, and a Chrysler dealer has installed 3 transmissions in it for the 100.00 deductible, I am sorry. The reason is not poor craftsmanship, but poor service. There is no Honda or Toyota made that I would feel as safe in with children inside. I hope you find something your happier with. The only time I've even heard of 3 trans replacements in 40,000 miles was from a specialized transmission repair shop. The Parts manager asked me to look at this 3rd trans and he had a tear in his eye. All of us especially the customer hated this situation and the little wire connector that needed repair was no ones fault. But another customer lost. Maybe the new Fiat-Chrysler (have you seen the new logo) will be better than all of them. But I think using petrol for energy, has to change for anyone to lead the industry in the proper direction. Excuse my indulgence. - Joe

Question 4
I,have plymouth grand Voyager 98 with brake problem?...  I,change like 2 or 3 time the rotors and brake pads and still doing the same. What might be. thank

Answers
1)   The rear brakes are out of adjustment, and the front brakes are providing all the stopping power. This is overheating the front brakes, warping the rotors and wearing out the pads.

Have the rear brakes adjusted, and use the parking brake often. The self adjuster on that van works with the parking brake, and if you do not use it, the rear brakes will not self adjust. - fire4511

2)   What is the problem with the brakes??? there are so many... - class4

3)   replace the calipers! that will do her! - columbusmopar

4)   It depends on why they are failing, and your driving habits. What is it doing? - Joe

Question 5
Chrysler 99 Sebring Convertible has water on floor?...  I have a 99 Sebring Convertible. After rain last weekend, my car filled with water. Here's the catch the seats are dry its all on the floor. I can hear water inside the car but cannot figure out where it is coming from. Any suggestions?

Answers
1)   only 300c is chrysler good
america cars only good corvette chevrolet cadillac

dodge challenger is hot

no
Sebring recyles old ancient SLK pieces of junk and poo(sh it) - I am Perfection!

2)   You may have plugged floor drains causing the water back-up. The drains are on the left and right sides, below the car, in front of the wheels. - C-Tech

3)   put the top up when it rains dah! - columbusmopar

4)   First place I would check would be under your dash. If there is a leak from your windshield and leaking under your dash, it won't be long before it causes a short and possible fire.

If you find no moisture, pull your back seat out to see if any of the carpet under the seat is wet. You want to rule out the rear window.

Next, check around the bottom of the doors for wetness. Usually these parts are raised somewhat higher than the floor. If it was coming in by leaking down into the door and then into the car, the top of the carpet at that spot will be wet. If the car wasn't flooded, the other high spots near the doors and windows will be dry.

I don't know how they build them now, but used to be there were drain holes in the bottom of the door for water to drain out. If they ever plugged up and retained the water - MAJOR RUST, and wet carpets. - Joe
