Anyone ever drive a manual transmission Dodge Caravan or Plymouth Voyager?

They made them back before 1995, but they were very rare, and only with a 4 cylinder.
What did you think about it?

[Best Answer]I had a 1985 Plymouth Voyager, got it in 1988. Was a 2.2 cylinder 5 speed manual transmission. It was transportation, I hauled everything but livestock in it, couches, refrigerators, camping gear, tree limbs and brush.
Any way, one winter the transmission literally blew up, disintegrated. Only tranmission the dealer could find used was out of a Dodge Daytona. It was same ratio's in 4th and 5th, but first 3 were different. That difference made it a really fun vehicle to drive !!
Got rid of it in 1993 when it blew the head gasket in the middle of a major winter snowstorm and I couldnt fix it myself. So I traded it off .

It was a dog and had horrible resale value.

We had one as a delivery van at the dealership I worked at. I'm pretty sure it was a late 80's model. It was gutless, but for what we used it for it worked out just fine.

Yup I drive one and one with a 2.5 turbo manual, they were mass made for the budget plummer and were not rare at all, now becaues most all of them are trashed, and for rare value like a cuda, forget it
But if you want to haul a bunch of tools and old pipe with dried out Crap on it, go ahead

Great surfer wagon

Oh yeah. It was a 5-speed. Great too.

I have a 1998 Plymouth Neon. My user manual says to use 5w30 oil but Valvoline says to use 10w30.....?

oil. My user manual does not say rather to use convention or synthetic but Valvoline says to use conventional. My car has about 153,000 miles on it. So is it right to use 5w30 or 10w30?

od, your manual should say 10w30, and use the 5w30 for better emissions up to 65,000. But anyway with 153,000 use the 10w30, the bearings and all are worn and the heavier oil will help, you can use either or as far as conventional or synthetic, just stick with one and dont switch back and forth, Valvoline is a great oil. I use it in all my trucks ( ramcharger and jeep) the wife still has the factory oil changed in her '07 Commander, because I told her to

I have 2002 Dodge Neon, with the same engine. I have been through the same dilemma before and finally choose 5W-30. It is more thinner than 10W-30. 5W-30 is very good at the extreme temperatures and also it is recommended by the manufacturer Chrysler.
I normally use 5W-30 valvoline, penzzoil or castrol.
njcworld_2003

Go with what the manual says. My '00 Neon calls for 5w30, which is what I use and it has 125,000 miles on it.
Charlie

5w30 and 10w30 are the same base weight oil the 5w and the 10w denotes the flow viscosity in winter but they are both 30 weight oils so if the manual calls for 5w30 then that is what I would use the switch to 10w will not boost oil pressure when the engine is a normal operating temp.

Stick it on Ebay.

Give it away. Whoever gets it will have to pay subscription and connection. Pointless trying to sell it on ebay, they have thousands o folk trying same thing.
