The way I heard it Fiat owns only 15% of Chrysler and the UAW owns 70% Now what part Fiat owns I have no idea, the media said the good part, what ever the hell that means. I did watch this on the Fox business news on cable. Also check out www.allpar.com they will have the correct info up soon. And even if Chrysler is a foreign company don't you recall it was a forgien company when MBZ had bought it? Chrysler got pulled from the NASDAQ ( did I do that right ) 500 because one of the rules is that the company has to be US owned.
I think Fiat will have the marketing end of Chrysler
rick b

Not really, the own only part of it howsoever important.
ff1054

Nope. Fiat's Italian and Chrysler's still American. Americans wouldn't wanna c an American car company become foreign.
$Coolioz_in_th_house$

Fiat doesn't own Chrysler, they have formed an alliance.Chrysler is still owned by Cerberus Capital.
toledojeeper

Yes it would. besides that if you buy a pre-bankrupt chrysler 'New' Chrysler is Shielded from 'Old' Product Liability. read the link below to learn more....its scary

my check engine light came on, on my 2005 Chrysler 300 what can I do?

How can I clear the engine light without going to a dealer ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

You shouldn't clear the code without finding out why the check engine light came on. Some auto parts suppliers will read the code for free, then you can buy the part and fix it your self. That depends on your skills and tools on hand.

Good luck

Sailin has the correct answer.

check the engine oil level the water level in radiator brake fluid level spark plug leads distributor cap etc etc.....
vkboy84

Disconnect the battery for five minutes.

check the engine oil level the water level in radiator brake fluid level spark plug leads distributor cap etc etc.....

What distributor cap would that be??? Go away.

It uses a coil-on-plug distributorless ignition system and two spark plugs per cylinder to shorten flame travel leading to more consistent combustion which helps reduce emissions. There is one coil for every cylinder, and early versions[vague] had a wasted spark ignition arrangement which would permit the engine to continue running on all eight cylinders with one failed coil.

It is kind of a cross between a bentley and a Rolls Royce. But then on the contorary it is also very different, so I think that crysler was going for just a very expensive classy look.

No, but they want a more affordable car with the classic British look. There was a time when Japanese cars were following the lead of German cars. It's the me-too syndrome. All manufacturers have it, except maybe the Italian supercars.
ff1054

They just wanted to compete. That's all.

Everyone who has posted an answer here had better do some homework and start reading about the work and contributions of Virgil Exner. Ex, as he was called, was the chief stylist for Chrysler from 1954 - 1962.
There is a car you all must look at in order to appreciate the provenance of the current 300. It is a concept car that Ex worked on with Italian coach builder Ghia in 1953. It was dubbed the D'elegance.

Please look at this link above, and tell me if you see any resemblance.

check the fuse and relay then the blower switch.

Blower motor reststor, FTW. That is the default setting in the event of failure.
alfredb1979

go to your chrysler dealer and get a new blower motor resistor and just replace it.
