my chrysler 3.3 grand v has no drive in morning ,but is ok when it warms up a bit?...  come out in morning ,start as normal ,put in drive ,nothing ,no go .
sit for a bit ,get to end of road ,stop ,put foot on excelarater and nothing

1)   ur trans is shot.........u can try and change fluid and filter and add additives....but you need a new trans.... - Karle

2)   You may be able to have your transmission adujusted.
The transmission (automatic) has bands that can be adjusted to stop slippage.
Have you checked the fluid ?
No fluid will not only make it slip but could also burn up.
The reason its better after warming up is because the bands expand as they heat up. - moonpie29

3)   first no bands in this transmission second the rubber lip seals in the trans are getting hard when the fluid warms up the rubber softens up enough to apply the pistons that apply the frictions do not use a additive in the trans what it will do is soften the rubber to the point it will expand it so much it will not allow the pistons to apply the frictions which will stop it to shift altogether only way to correct this is a rebuilt trans you will have time you will just have to warm it up for awhile rebuilt for these trans are in the 2000.00 dollar range - bo

4)   Try checking the fluid level and look for leaks. Those tend to leak at the trans cooler lines often and what you are describing sounds like a low fluid condition. Unlike what the other person said there are no bands in that transmission to adjust. I would make sure of my fluid level and replace the filter before condeming it. - Mike J

5)   Transmission is about to leave the building. Common problem with these. Only thing to do is to check fluid levels and if ok, don´t take car for a longer drive. It will break down complete.

What to do: Get an other used but rebuild transmission, this is as normal failure on 3.3L so it will be possible to find.

Try to change filter and trans.oil first. Cheapest solution first... - Bearcat

3)   You would need a commercial pilot certificate, not just a private pilot certificate. They're not called licenses. A commercial certificate requires a lot more training. - Howard L

4)   Yes you do...You also have to have a license from the state to spray chemicals...What most people don,t realize that crop dusters are kind of like share croppers...The better the crops grow the more money they make...They have to have alot of other knowledge not just how to fly a plane... - Johnny Rotten

On a Plymouth Grand Voyger, It is not starting.?...  I hit the key to start the van and I am not getting anything. No sound from the starter or the starter solonoid. All of the fuses and relays are good. Where do I go next???????

2)   First try to jump start it with jumper cables hooked up to another running vehicle. If it starts, your problem isn't the starter. The problem is then isolated to a failing battery or a failing alternator. You can remove either and have them tested at most of the chain auto parts stores to narrow it down. - Jordan C

If the lights and other accessories are coming on, and there's no click and the lights don't dim or anything, then it isn't the battery. If the battery was completely dead, nothing else will work (lights, radio, electric locks or windows, etc). If the battery is very weak, the lights will dim quite a bit, or go completely out when you try to start it, it will usually click at least once when it does this, but not always. (If the battery was weak, but not completely dead or very close to it, it would click and make noise when trying to start it)

In the case that the battery is charged, it's possible that the ignition cylinder or switch has broken. Some years (1994-1995, if I remember correctly) had a driver on the back of the cylinder that would break, preventing the cylinder from turning the switch all the way to the start position. The fix is to replace the ignition cylinder, which costs about $110 at the dealer (labor not included), plus the cost of keying it with new tumblers and springs to make it work with your existing key (the cylinder from the dealership will come unkeyed so they can key it to your existing keys).

Many dealerships can key the cylinder for you, but others cannot or will not do it, then you'll have to take it to a locksmith to have it done. If your local dealer won't key it, I'd recommend calling to other local dealerships to try to find one that will key the cylinder for you, it will likely be less expensive than having a locksmith do it. You can usually get an aftermarket cylinder that comes complete with a key, but then you'll have 2 keys to the vehicle, one for doors, one for ignition.

In a worst-case scenario, the cylinder will have also broken the ignition switch, meaning both will have to be replaced. (The switch will cost around $80)

Some years had some problems with the ignition switch itself going bad, so that could also be the problem.

If it's a '94 or '95, then chances are it's the ignition cylinder.

Some other causes could be loose cables (at the battery or starter) or a bad starter. - Mark B

is the 95 chrysler lhs transmission the same for the 3.5 and the 3.3 or are they different?...

4)   Yes, they both used the same transmission, they also used the same transmission control module.

The only thing that made a difference was if the car had "Autostick", then it used a different transmission number and different control module. - Mark B

Why can't I find a Chrysler Aspen on the Chrysler website?...  I have looked at the website and saw the vehicle lineup, but nowhere did it show the Aspen. I'm interested about learning more about this car, but through the internet... not by going to a dealer so I can get those annoying "come back" and "special offer" phone calls. Any help?

2)   The Aspen has been discontinued. If you really like the car, then get a Dodge Durango. It is the exact same car, just different emblems. - Kenny
