Is a sebring a good car?... I am looking at a sebring for my first car. is it a good car?
Answers
1) A used car --any used car--is only as good as the care and maintenance it received on a regular basis. NEVER buy a used car without YOUR mechanic checking it from top to bottom. As a first car--it would probably be a nice choice--but again--auto ownership is ALL IN THE ATTITUDE--drive any car safely--take good care of it. - fire_inur_eyes
2) nope
type into search box
year model problems
with any car will find what problems or recalls
dodge as not made a great car since world war 1

3) I drive a 2002 Sebring sedan and has held up nice over the years. There are some people with problems, but thats every car. It is very stylish and fuel efficient, and will make a great first car! - Adam
4) No! - ~PHOENIXFIRE~
5) You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.deep-ice.com - Sam
6) The sebring is definitely not the best car, but it's fairly good. It just has some quality problems, like way too much plastic on the inside. However, Chrysler is redesigning the Sebring this year to add quality and get a better design. There have been so many problems with the current Sebring that they won't even call it the sebring. If you are willing to wait and pay the price for a brand new car, then I would say do it. If you are getting a used sebring, than you're fine. It's not really that bad of a car. - The Great Brandini

Question 2
99 Chrysler won't start?... Yesterday I went to work to fill out some papers. I was inside maybe 20 minutes and when I came outside my car wouldn't start. All of the lights on the dash come on but as I turn the key it just sounds like it's trying to start (sorry I really don't know how to explain this..). My brother came to get me and which took him about an hour. He went to my car and magically it started right up for him. Today the same thing happened but instead of calling for help I gave the car alittle gas as I turned the key. It started up but started shaking. I have no idea what's wrong with this car. We just put a brand new starter in it in November. What could this be? I need to invest in new back brakes and rotors but I rather not throw away money into a car that's not going to last. Help please!
Answers
1) This sounds like a lose connection somewhere. Check the connections at the battery posts first, then at the starter. - rtrentmartin
2) You must check the battery cable end that attach to the battery. If they are dirty and corroded clean them up with a wire brush. Clean inside the cable also. Make sure they go back on tight. Might be loose cable at starter.
The engine might have started shaking because of too much fuel and need to clear out the excess fuel . - DONNY G
3) If a car does not start with no gas pedal pressure, it is always a good ideal to try some gas pedal pressure to see if it helps.
But I can't tell if when it did not start, if you mean it was not cranking over, or it was not firing?
Anyway, do not get new rotors unless you badly tore them up with metal on metal, and they are too thin to machine. Old rusty rotor are fine and should not be touched. The brake pad cost about $20 and take less then an hour so install. So save your money. If you need step by step instructions, it is easy to explain. - Motorhead
4) ANY vehicle has recommened maintenance items to take care of occasionally. You MAY need a fuel filter to restore proper gasoline flow. You may need plugs---or even an air filter. Or all of them Or even some sensors need replacement. The possibilities are endless. GO TO A GOOD MECHANIC FOR THIS PROBLEM. Your car is computer controlled--so an experienced mechanic with the right diagnostic equipment needs to check it all out. Any car is only as good as the care it gets. - fire_inur_eyes
5) A loose connection on the starter solenoid. - ~PHOENIXFIRE~

Question 3
I want my brakes to stop squeaking?... 've had my brakes checked, and they are fine. what can I do to make them stop squeaking?
Answers
1) Its like if you want to stop a baby crying.
Get it a dummy. - Adi
2) dont listen to ADI hes fkn stupid, take your vehicle to midas or autozone to have your ROTORS turned and your brake pads checked for pad thickness , sometimes brake pads will squeek when they are ready to be changed they have a "squeeker" built onto the brake pad to let the driver know its time to change the brake pads - nightwalker ^,..,^
3) Take the car to a reputable brake shop, or a garage to have it checked out. You may have hard pads that over heat, and squeak. - badbill1941
4) Never have rotors turned if they are not badly ripped up.
Squeaking is normal, and is just like you running a wet finger along the rim of a glass.
So all you want to do is dampen it.
Which you can to by purchasing shims material in sheet or in a tube at any auto part store.
It goes between the piston and pad, and stops the squeak.
Costs a few dollars, and takes about 15 minutes a wheel. - Motorhead
5) We had a lot of this with the rear wheel drive New Yorkers and others. Drive your car about 50 MPH or so and come to a quick stop just shy of sliding the tires. Do this 3 times in a row. This will get the brakes hot enough to burn off all the dust that accumulated on the pads and rotors which causes squealing. Or you could disassemble the brakes and sand the stuff of by hand, which we use to do before we went to the 'braking' method. This won't stop future squealing as dust will eventually come back, but beats disassemble and sanding. Also, too hard, or long lasting pads are pron to squealing. - Jackolantern

Is this a Plymouth Fury?... http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd196/cowsfat12/DSC_0093.jpg

2) Did you not see the movie "Cristine"? It sure looks like her to me. - w61earl
3) The movie was a 58
My guess is a 56 or 57. - Bob
4) The trim tells me it's a 59 Belvedere. - badbill1941
5) It's actually a 1959 Belvedere sedan. The script on the left side of the hood (right side in the picture) is "Plymouth" and the side molding on a Fury was not shaped like what you see on the left front fender of this car. The Fury was a wedge from front to rear. - Don't know everything !

Question 5
Everybody out there, what company do you think Chrysler should sell the Viper to?...
Answers
1) Chrysler should sell to ford maybe then it be a great car
Chrysler dodge what ever has not been top since world war 1
been going down since then - kelly_f_1999
2) chrysler is actually owned by mercedes-benz..
so MB would probably sell the model to...
no one - Jo
3) They should keep it. Its one of the few good cars they have.
Jo - MB sold Chrysler a few years ago when they got done taking all the money and running them into the ground. - emiller1998
4) No one, Anytime someone sells a car model to another manufacturer,it is instantly ruined. By the way, if Chrysler has no good vehicles, why does the 300C have the record for the largest number of vehicles sold ever on the premier ( by any manufacturer)? The second runner up is the PT Cruiser. Chrysler mini vans out sell all other brands of mini vans combined ( and started the whole genre). The Viper is one of the fastest vehicles ever made and one of the most fun to drive. Chrysler vehicles have the best warranty In the business.A LIFETIME power train warranty, the next best being 100,000 miles. Chrysler vehicles are being chosen by many police departments for their new cruisers (the Charger and Durango specifically). Dodge has the first ever mid sized pickup (Dakota). Dodge has the most powerful engines in the business in their trucks( V10 and the 6.7 liter turbo diesel) Chrysler invented the Hemi head for engines. The hemi is the most hottest engine in the world for a unmodified motor. - military supporter
5) OK let me make some things straight here:
1) Chrysler was established from the ashes of Maxwell in 1924, which was five years after the armistice was signed to end WW I,
2) Daimler sold their Chrysler interest in 2007, they've had no ownership of the company since. A conglomerate by the name of Cerberus Capital had ownership of it until the bankruptcy filing, and now Fiat is the official suitor of Chrysler.
3) The Viper and the Viper name plate are not going anywhere just yet. Yes, 2010 is the last model year for the car, but not the last car. The newly merged corporation is going to re-tool the car.
So far everything about that at this moment is pure conjecture.
A logical path for Fiat to take is to keep the Viper as its performance halo car, and keep developing it. The Viper has proven its might around the world as a respectable racing platform. Fiat no longer has a stake in Maserati which was its performance division, so it's a no brainer. - Delamothe
