Can I drive my pt cruiser to the mechanic if the serpentine belt is missing?

Question 1
Can I drive my pt cruiser to the mechanic if the serpentine belt is missing?...  so basically my question is... does the serpentine belt affect the water pump? I asked this once but the answer I got was not clear, someone please answer me, thank you!

1)   Not only the water pump, but alternator and power steering too.

2)   Just what do you think that particular belt is for decoration. Of course it affects the water pump. I doubt you get 5 miles, and that's being generous, down the road before you overheat your engine and maybe get to buy a new engine to go with that new belt. Many mechanics will tow your vehicle at little or no expense if they think that you'll be back for any other work. - Karl

3)   Physically, you'll get a couple miles. But even taking it down the road will cost you a lot more than $30 for a new belt. You have no cooling system but you might kill your battery before the heat seizes the engine since the alternator isn't working, you wont have power steering and in a lot of cars you wont have power brakes if your car has a hydrolic brake booster

4)   Hey whats up and dude i am 14 years old but when i helped my cousin replace his serpintine belt on his vw corrado i could clearly see that it keeps a lot of stuff going and i am not trying to be mean but i helped my cousin replace his it was mad easy, i you suggest registering in one of hundreds of automobile forums on line it could save you a lot of time and money.but you drive a pt cruiser and my cousin drives a suped up volkswagon corrado pretty big difference.but you should be able to do it by yourself, get a friend to help you if you got time have fun with it.oh and do drive it without a serpintine belt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - James

Question 3
If I put bigger rims on my chrysler 300m would I have to change the computer?...  I want to put bigger rims on my chrysler 300m, but i have heard that if you do, it would effect the computer in the car or something. I wanted to know if this is true and if it matters. and how much it would cost to tweak the computer.
Oh, I forgot to mention its a 2000 Chrysler 300m

1)   If the height is a different size, the computer has to be reprogrammed. You don't have to change the computer. If you don't reprogram it, the speedometer will be off. I would get the same height to avoid any problems and expense. - REV B

2)   This would be the case with older automobiles, but not with a recent model like your Chrysler 300, the computer will adjust itself. - Fernando

3)   If the tires you put on are taller than the existing tires, the only difference will be the speedometer reading a little slower than the actual speed, that's it. - done wrenching

Are PT cruisers for girls or gay guys?...  I'm a 16 year old boy and straight.A family friend is getting a new car and is selling his 01 navy blue pt cruiser with 70,000 miles for cheap and my mom wants to get it for me. I never really liked the way they looked, but it's a car. Would I look gay driving one of these???
