trapped water in my Chrysler Seabring 1998 convertible.?

Question 1
trapped water in my Chrysler Seabring 1998 convertible.?...  After a MAJOR rainstorm last night, I entered my car this morning to find a puddle of water about 2 inches deep in passenger side of vehicle. It seems that the water is trapped in the right rear quarter panel. The interior of my car isn't wet (except floor) there doesn't seem to be any water leaking in from front and trunk is dry. When I make any turns you can hear water sloshing around. Anyone know why this might be happening and what I might do to fix it?

Answers
1)   You need to clean out the drains on the rain rail. As for what is down in the panels, there might be a drain plug that can be pulled in the area to let the water out. You will have to look for it. - Old Man Dirt

2)   does it have rear window on that side then possible water entering from window molding or the window was left down a hair or possible small hole in the top clean it up and make sure everything closed have someone in side with flash light and someone on outside run water in that area and see what happens - bo

3)   There are several small drains under your car, you will have to get under and clean them out. - Dennis

4)   You have a few water drains on each side of the car along the rocker panel and on the right and left side of the trunk. They're most likely plugged . Push a small screwdriver in the drains or blow back with air pressure then stand back. - Donny

Question 2
which car should i get chrysler 300c 2006 0r 2007 sebring?...  300 has 115.ooo miles and power the sebring has 26,000 miles and 4cy here different things on sebring but iworied about mileage on 300c what to do

Answers
1)   Id go for the 300c just because Ive never heard anything good about a Sebring from anyone that's owned one. - Xnebia

2)   My family owns two Chrysler 300C's, a 2006, and a 2008.

The engine is a powerful engine, a 5.7 V8, makes anywhere from 340-370 horsepower. The 2006 makes 340.

It's a great car, and not just for the engine. The car is VERY spacious. In fact, just the other day I needed to work later at Starbucks and the lobby was closed, so I pulled the 2006 up to a spot in front of the store, and was able to work on my laptop in the backseat in comfort.

When it comes to mileage, our 2006 has around 93k on it. What you MUST do is keep it properly maintained (same with any other car) and it will last. Take it to the dealer, it's costly, but it will ensure the car runs ok (no I don't work for a dealer, we just always take them to ours to make sure) - Branden W

3)   I would go with the lower mileage car - Donny

4)   Go with the 300 all the way! you won't regret it. - chasm

Question 3
Can someone please help, 2006 PT Cruiser!!?...  last week, when i went to the store my car wouldn't start and the transmission light was on. I though huh, it never does this so i tried again and it started the transmission light went off after a bit. So yesterday!, i was leaving the driveway just made it up the road came to a hill i accelerated to 40 and it started jerking back and fourth, its an automatic. It felt like it was bogging out. Im used to power so it completely caught me off guard. Don't be alarmed its not my everyday driving habits. So it did it a couple more times. Only going up hill. To my surprise!!, the transmission light was on again. It wasn't over heating and i had plenty of gas. So we brought it into the garage, we took off the oil pan there was plenty of oil it was a little dirty and there was a steal piece, we bought a new filter. were currently installing everything. I was wondering. is there anyone out there whose familiar with these cars who could shed some light on the situation. Were worried that maybe the steel piece was a c clip or something, will this mean the transmissions done? Should we hook it up to a computer?? please help!!

Answers
1)   i dont have that kind of car but mine was doing that and i took it to a shop and found out my transmission went out i hope this helps! - Candace

2)   It could mean the transmission is failing, but it could also mean that the person working on the transmission placed it there to sell you a new transmission. This happens more often then most people realize. At this point you can just drive the car and see what happens. Replacing the transmission more then likely will not cost any more if you drive it till it breaks, there will be an additional tow bill. But due to fraud by transmission shops it might be worth the gamble. - Old Man Dirt

3)   Well something is broken in the transmission, there should have not been a piece of steel in the pan. Cut the filter open and see if there is more metal in there I bet there is. It could be a clip, piece of hydraulic valve, piece of gear, clutch pack, spline, piece of the pump, or any other important piece of metal. Yes this is a clue that your transmission is not going to go much farther before it leaves you stranded, Hooking it up to a computer may tell you what code it is throwing but this may not be exactly whats wrong, the only way to find out whats wrong is have the transmission looked into at a shop.

It might be an easy fix, or it might need a rebuilt transmission.

Take the piece you found to the shop that you want to have it fixed at to show them what you found. Also if you find any other pieces in the filter show them that too.

I would not drive it to the shop have it towed. - BigeQ

4)   Since you had a starting issue.....Corroded battery cables can interrupt the flow of voltage and cause problems, so the first thing to do is clean them with a battery tool.. - TerlinguaMustang

2002 Chrysler Sebring Engine?...  I was looking into buying a 2002 Chrysler Sebring LXi 2d Coupe. I was wondering how these cars run after 100k miles. This car has 92k and I have read some things that the engine is not very good in these cars. Need some advice

Answers
1)   Biggest cost will be replacing the timing belt, which is due Now.. - Dennis

2)   I would walk away from this one. Too high mileage. Everything is in ready to be replaced. After 100,000k things start to give up. - Donny

3)   If you have the 2.7L engine run far far away - it is the biggest piece out there and is very costly to replace. Get a different car and i would never recommend a dodge hrysler jeep product. - Lyndsay
