93 eagle talon fuel pump?... i just change out my fuel in my talon...does it need to be pressured from hand or will it do when you turn the key before start??
Answers
1) I have never seen a gasoline fuel vehicle that needed to be primed. Diesel engines is another story. Twist the key and pump should start after some cranking. - Tee
2) Every time you turn the key from the off position ot on, the fuel pump runs for approximately 3 secs. cycle the key a few times, then fire it up. - jnc623
3) Your pump is electric, turn the key to the part of ignition where turn signals and wiper work, you should hear the fuel pump run, you might have somebody at rear of car to see if they can hear it, if you hear the pump run for a few seconds then stop, shut ignition off again and repeat, doing this a few times should push the fuel up to the engine, if you do not hear pump run, check your fuse as you might have blown it if you did not disconnect battery before taking it apart, thiose lil motors have pretty good fuel systems so you shouldn't have too much trouble.. - lil_pengwen
4) Make sure the fuel tank is over half full, turn the key on and off 3 times with out cranking, if there is a pressue test port on the fuel rail carefully check to see if fuel comes out, clean spill and crank engine, if you installed the pump right and that was your problem in the first place, the engine should start - rick b

Question 2
1997 Sebring blowing cold air from heater?... I drive a 1997 Chrysler Sebring convertible and recently the tachometer started becoming slow to start. I will start the car and it stays at zero for a few minutes but eventually it kicks on and works fine the rest of the time the car is running. Tonight the heater began blowing cold air. They may be unrelated issues, but I'm not sure. I recently replaced the thermostat and the radiator fan because I was having overheating problems (the fan was dead). There is plenty of antifreeze in the tank so I dont think its just simply because I'm short any. What might be the problem? And how can I fix it?
Answers
1) Have no idea about the Tach but i will find out for you. But with the blowing cold air. Need more info did you have heater on at the time or was it off and you could feel a little air from vents? R u sure it was set all th way to heat and A/C was off? And when when you repl t-stat did you bleed the system or just top it off??? email me with ibfo and i will get answer about tach kmp1171@att.net - kmp1171
2) sounds to me like you have an air pocket in the system, this will cause these problems, you need to bleed the cooling system and that should fix the heat problem, sounds like the tach maybe shot also, - columbusmopar
3) Also check the thermostat temp could have a low temp u might need to get. Hi temp xpecially incold states - kool2shade
4) you need to get your heater core checked - Hart

Question 3
in Chrysler Sebring, what type of spark plugs do you PREFER ?... I have a 2001 Chrysler Sebring lxi sedan with the 2.7L V6 engine; I'm considering using NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs.
I used to have a 2003 Dodge Neon 2.0L and I heard all around that the Neon 'loved' Champion plugs.
Yes I know to refer to the manual, but that's why the question up there is what type of spark plugs do you prefer [for your Sebring].
thanks !
Answers
1) The Mopar spark plugs are preferred. - C-Tech
2) Chrysler uses champion plugs. Some are platinum some are double platinum. - shortmama7j
3) Champion, factory design - rick b
4) Champion - NON-platinum. Platinum is a less conductive metal, it is chosen simply because it will last the 100,000 mile change intervals that they were looking for. Its not the best, however. - JohnB

Question 5
Is there a way to unlock the motor if it's locked in chrysler sebring 1997? Let me know if you have any idea!?... Thanks in advance for answering my question, I appreciated it.
Answers
1) You can pour marvel mystery oil into the cylinders and let them soak for about a week...This usually just works for engines that have been sitting for a long time...It,s worth the time to try...I had a land cruiser that had a seized motor due to lack of lubrication...I got stuck on a steep hill and ran the motor with no oil pressure...We just hooked up a tow strap and i poped the clucth at about 20 mph...She became unseized and I drove it for many years until I sold it... - Johnny Rotten
2) It depends on why it is locked If it is Hydro locked remove plugs and crank. If it slung a bearing and jammed it up you need to remove oil pan If you want to email me and tell me the story behind it being locked i might be able to help kmp1171@att.net - kmp1171
3) Depends on what caused it to lock in the first place. a little more information would help. did the engine over heat? was it at High RPM when it locked? was there large amounts of smoke coming from the car when the problem happened? Or was there just a sudden loss of power and the engine slowly came to a stop? all of these have different solutions but the main factor boils down to removing the engine and either replacing it, or repairing it. - gearnofear
