where is the fuel pump of a 95 chrysler cirrus located?

where is the fuel pump of a 95 chrysler cirrus located?

I just bought a 95 chrysler cirrus with a 2.5, and the guy said I had to replace the fuel pump, it costs like 200, but where exactly is it located?

gas tank

yep the fuel tank, however it is a lot easier to get to than you think, just have to have a little know how and observe how to get the tank out, and you need to unplug the wires :P

They're all right, however, how are you SURE you need a new fuel pump? First, if you just bought it, buy a manual! I prefer Haynes because of the electrical schematics. Follow the trouble shooting steps for the fuel pump. Be a smart guy, not a parts changer. There are several inputs to the computer that if missing, the computer will not tell the pump to turn on. Did the guy who told you about the fuel pump know this? Do your homework buddy and maybe you can $ave $ome bigtime green!

IN the fuel tank and why does it need to be replace and ask for the old part back and have him show you why it need to be replaced. And if he is putting a aftermarket pump in ie Airtex, ask him what is the warranty and does that include labor

Gas tank or near the manifold, woudnt surprise me with Chysler...

How does he know? Ask around, bruh. You may be buying a fuel pump and it may be something at the opposite of the car that's causing the "problem."

It's inside the fuel tank.

Chryslers Bankruptcy?

Does anyone know if all the plants are completly closed or is chrysler gonna continue to fill orders for vehicles that are already in the system. I ask this because i bought a 09 Challenger rt about 2 and a half weeks ago and the order went in on April 16 2009. And it would completly suck to have to wait a couple more months to get my car, any info you have to share would be helpful.

filing for bankruptcy doesn't mean its out of business, look at K-Mart, they filed for bankruptcy a loooong time ago and they're still stores around just not as many as before, just the stores that didn't make a good enough profit closed

They are working deals with Fiat and the UAW to keep the doors open. The UAW will own 55% of the company...Don,t worry you have made a good choice...I saw a new Camaro today and I really didn,t like it at all...MOPARS RULE!!!

Ask your saling dealer and call Chrysler customer service 1800-992-1997

My 10year old LSI Trans Am smokes the doors off that $42,000 joke..I wish I would have to wait...Those RTs are starting to pile up around different dealerships, seems like ur sales person should have made a dealer trade..

All Chrysler assembly plants are closed for 30-60 days they say maybe more, your dealer should be able to find out the status of the vehicle. The plants are to open after Chrysler comes out of bankruptcy but I don't know if that will happen, some of the suppliers may go out of business and that could cause parts shortages.

1996 chrysler lhs changed tranny now engine crank over no start fuel to fuel rail fire to coil and injectors?

no spark from wires

Crank Sensor either unplugged, damaged, or incorrect air gap. Good luck!

Might be related to a switch not being aligned up right bec the gear shifter can kill starts , also could be a connector or wire being faulty or a sensor unplugged or damaged.

I'd also be checking the timing on it and making sure that the fuel pressure was correct , the gas filter changed, plus I'd want to know if you're getting the right amount of air flow,if the plugs are all good and wires.Keep in mind that even if a spark looks strong enough it might not be so be sure you clean all the plug in connections and connectors on the ignition module , plus check the wiring very closely , and look at the housing of the ignition coil check for cracks , bulges, discolouring etc.

Even the engine might sound like it's turning over fast enough but in fact isn't so check the battery , starter, engine block ground post , alternator and clean them one by one and test.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way from all my experience if any vehicle is a 96 and hasn't had the charging system fully checked or cleaned I'd for sure be doing so bec most starting issues on that age of a vehicle are related to rust , corrosion and battery post wires that are internally rotted or corroded, plus fowl fuel or dirty gas systems or dirty tanks. Also most problems in the electrical is bad connections or especially bad grounds so make sure their quite clean or replace them.
helpful bob

check wiring for pinched wires at the bell housing also check the flex plate that is where the crank sensor gets its signal if it is bent will prob. not start. i always go by if it worked before you moved something go back and check it over.

you need a speed sensor this sensor makes the computer go crazy when it goes out

If Chrysler goes Chapter11, What happens to my car payments?

Asked by: Top Cat @ 2009-05-07 21:19:42

Loan gets transferred to another bank.
jason

They did last week, so what? Chpt 11 is a restructure of credit owed. It has nothing to do with your payments, even if Chrysler goes 13 and out of business you still have to pay the bank who owns the note. No way to get out of payments or a free car.
rick b

Ric B. is right. Nothing has changed about your car payments. Continue to pay or your car will be on operation repo. Good Luck.
C-Tech

You will see absolutely no difference. They already have gone BK so forget the if. Obama may pay for your car if he feels like it.
