Loan gets transferred to another bank.
jason

They did last week, so what? Chpt 11 is a restructure of credit owed. It has nothing to do with your payments, even if Chrysler goes 13 and out of business you still have to pay the bank who owns the note. No way to get out of payments or a free car.
rick b

Ric B. is right. Nothing has changed about your car payments. Continue to pay or your car will be on operation repo. Good Luck.
C-Tech

You will see absolutely no difference. They already have gone BK so forget the if. Obama may pay for your car if he feels like it.
Rudy H

Chrysler has already been paid for your car, you are paying a loan company and will continue to pay the loan company.

Nothing. You keep making them.

If it has the slant six then really REALLY check out the wiring under the hood closely. Look for burning and chafing of the wires as they had a tendency to burn at one time. Other than that H-E-DOUBLEHOCKEYSTICKS YES they were great cars. Even if it had the electrical issues it would still be a good buy if it is in good condition. Wires can be easily fixed.

Those are must like the dodge darts and are good engines those slant six's.I'd be making sure that the engine is solid on it , check the oil , look for leaks etc , plus those can have really bad headache carbs, leaky rocker covers too , also check the frame and body on it bec those can really rust out there.I'd also make sure the engine mounts are solid but then you'd not buy any used vehicle unless you know it well or are fully checking it over or have it fully safety etc checked upfront but anyways those are lasting if kept up properly.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way nice car classic.

You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.deep-ice.com
Stan

If you have no plans to self maintain and improve/hop up the car then pass on it. It you are looking for a car to make a street machine or some such then it is a great car. I would not consider it for restoration at all but sure would like to make it a hot rod.
mikey

If it's got a Slant Six it's dependable as taxes, but super boring to drive.

Nice score! Now go buy a manual for it and read it. Also you should join a Mopar web forum, like www.moparforums.com Folks will have all sorts of info there to help you. See you there!

1999 chrysler 300m air conditioner problem?

We were washing our car and my wife and kids stayed inside and we had it on. We were at a local car wash. After I had it all cleaned up when I got back in the air conditioner had stopped working. The snowflake symbol shows up on the automatic air conditioner screen but does not blow out cold air. If anyone has any advice or helpful hints or things to check it would be much appreciated. Please dont just jump to some ignorant response, please be helpful. thank you

Check all fuses.
jason

this is apparently a common problem. my dad also has a 99 300M and the first time the air stopped working it only needed a freon charge (which you might want to check, you can buy a kit and do it yourself) but about two years ago it happened again only this time the entire ac unit was busted and could not be fixed affordably.

best bet is to check the freon charge.

I'm not sure if you washed the cars engine are not,but if you did you might check the wire that connects to the a/c compressor to make sure it didn't come a loose or blow a fuse, you also have a wire plug that connects to the low pressure switch that's screwed into the small a/c line or it could be screwed into the side of the drier(silver matel bottle) next to the passengers side fire wall.

What will happen to the Dodge Ram,Dakota,Sprint, minivans and Jeeps when Fiat takes over Chrysler?

Chrysler will supposedly build "clean" cars for Fiat.

These vehicles all make money for Chrysler so they will continue to be produced. Some hybrid and possibly an electric vehicle (the 200 C) will be introduced as their "clean" vehicle.
C-Tech

No idea, nobody knows, When MBZ owned Chrysler they got ridd of the B-van and introduced the Sprinter. Fiat or the UAW will have the final word not the media they dont own or make desisions for Chrysler. So who knows. Just as long as we don't end up driving Hemi Opels
rick b

The plan Chrysler has is to keep the Ram,get rid of one of the minivans, the Dakota maybe replaced with a Jeep pickup, the Jeep Commander and Patriot will be gone.
Rick said it is up to the UAW,the UAW will get 55% of the shares of the company but has no say in the operations of the company.

Looking for a transmission for 96 chrysler cirrus was told it could be one of 2 how do i know which one it is?

Asked by: ravinmaine @ 2009-05-10 06:16:39

[Best Answer]Simple. Yes there were only two transmissions used. An automatic and a manual. The manual is the NV T350 [A-578] 5speed, and the auto is the 41TE 4-speed.
