2) Fuel ratio? You mean fuel economy? www.fueleconomy.gov is a good resource, and since they're the same car, you only have to look up one. - Sean

Question 2
Do you think the Chrysler recall will be FRONT page news and lead story on TV for a month like with Toyota?...
Answers
1) No, because Chrysler didn't try to cover it up and pretend there was nothing wrong for six months. - Rick
2) No, of course not, cuz they did not try to cover it up like stupid freakin Toyota did, resulting in numerous deaths. Plus, Chrysler is a nice car. Buy American cars, damnit!!!!!! USA, USA, USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Nick
3) No. Two reasons:
(1) Chrysler didn't try to cover anything up.
(2) No one expects the high level of quality and long life from Chrysler that Toyota normally produces, so it's not that big a surprise.
For those who say 'buy American', I wonder, which do they make more of in the USA, Chryslers or Toyotas? I ask because I really don't know. - .

Question 3
I need to know how to fix a problem with my PT Cruisers' AC?... The air comes out cold, however, when the car is in Drive, it sounds and feels like the engine wants to die out. It's like a stuttering that comes and goes. There's no problem when the car is in Park or Nuetral.
Answers
1) So what you are trying to say is "when the A/C is on the engine want to die out" correct? if so it sounds like the compressor is starting to seize, replace it. and you should know how to recover, evac and charge your system or you can end up damageing the system again - rick b
2) Ric B may be right, however it would be worthwhile to have someone check the system pressures to see if you have a restricted line. That could cause your compressor to seize up.if not repaired. - C-Tech
3) One more thing to check which will cause this problem. Check to see if the cooling fan comes on when the A/C is turned on. If the fan isn't coming on the system pressure gets to high and lugs the engine down until the compressor turns off - Gregory A

Question 5
My PT Cruiser's AC clutch is not engaging.?... I have a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Edition (auto) and one night I was cruising with the ac on and everything was going good, ac was blowing cold then it slowly but noticeably went from blowing cold air to just air. Now I don't really have a problem since i usually drive with my windows down but its an inconvenience for my passengers. Me, my dad and my brother are trying to trouble shoot the problem and we have found out that the clutch is just not engaging. We know it is an electronically controlled clutch and we think that the fuse has gone out(if there is one), the problem is we don't know where the fuse for the ac is. We open the fuse box and all we find are useless fuses to stuff like the power top ( for verts), AWD, and other options and things that I'm sure my hardtop Touring does not have. My question is if there is a fuse for the ac where is it? Or is there another problem why my clutch is just not engaging?
Answers
1) If none of the fuses are blown then you have a different problem. Are you sure you don't have a leak and lost the refrigerant (r-134a)? There are high are low pressure switches which also control the compressor (if pressure is too high or low the commpressor clutch will not engage). Have the system checked by a shop. - C-Tech
2) you could have a bad fuse, a bad low pressure switch, a bad clutch, or low on freon. You might be money ahead to pay someone a few bucks to check the system out. - badbill1941
