is chrysler bent on destroying itself?...  they discontinued chrysler pacifica and then they discontinued chrysler aspen. i liked both these vehicles. Yet they continue making pt cruiser which is crap. Who will now buy such cars?

You may like them but if Chrysler can't sell enough of them to make a profit they will be discontinued ... standard business practice.

You may not like the PT Cruiser, but since they are still being sold enough people are buying them for Chrysler to make a profit. - t-bar

3)   I agree with T, just because you like those cars dosnet mean you are the authority on the automotive marketing div of Chrysler, Yet I like the old model of the Fifth Ave but then again they dont make it any more.Why? I once put a 400 (JUST a 400!), into a 77 ramcharger....MAN!!! Talk about go! BONE STOCK, 0-100 in about 13 seconds! BUT- the front end started to life around 115, making the steering non-existent! The New Orleans cops are STILL looking for me!!(LOL) - charles h

Question 2
I have a '71 Plymouth Satellite and i happened to accidently snap the original key.?...  Is there any way I can get it fixed, such as welded back together, or at least get a duplicate made?

1)   If youve managed to pull the broken bit out of the keyhole you should still be able to get one cut by a locksmith. They can measure the key and cut a new one. Cant really be welded or rejoined unless you are really good at brazing. - Mr P

2)   you can buy original mopar lockset for your 71 b body off ebay for about 50 bucks...This is were I got my set for my 67 b body...Of course you,ll have to pull the door panels to put in the new locks if it were a door key..If it is ignition just get a new ignition with new key.. - Johnny Rotten

3)   I use to cut keys for a living and if you've both pieces a good key shop or locksmith should be able to cut you a couple of keys from it without charging any extra money.

3)   it is the threaded valve on the large hose coming from the compressor. - badbill1941

4)   The a/c service ports are located on the compressor for high and low side with the 3.2 and 3.5L engines. - C-Tech

Question 4
why is my 2003 chrysler town and country mini van's radiator boiling over?...  it happens when the van is idling with air conditioner on

1)   PROBABLY the radiator fan is not coming on. Another possibility, is the radiator is partially clogged up. May need flushing out. - Sweetdaddy Rex

2)   Check to see if your radiator cooling fans come on. It should be on when you turn the A/C on. If the fans do come on, then you may have a bad water pump. Good Luck. - C-Tech

3)   Start with checking the fan relays , the fan fuse, fan wiring, coolant temperature sensor , the fan but most of the time it's a fan relay issue, and try the low relay first.

Question 5
Plymouth voyager makes pinging noise when accelerating sometimes?...  My mothers car makes a pinging noise when it accelerates after at a stop or when you try to accelerate quickly. It also rumbles. Could this just be the type of fuel we put in to clean out the old gas? It's been sitting in the yard for awhile. Or is it the throttle body or drive shaft hitting something?
Also it needs to have the o-rings replaced and some more inspecting done with the fuel rails.
I realize it is a popping noise

1)   Fill it with the highest octane gas you can get, and put in a bottle of Octane booster ! After about 2 tanks-full, the pinging should stop. Sounds like the engine is worn out ! Options: Replace engine. Overhaul old engine. Trade car in on a better one. - Sweetdaddy Rex

2)   What year, what engine size and how many miles?
As far as the pinging noise, run brand name fuel like Chevron, dosnt matter what octane, and when was your last tune up? - rick b
