will a 360 5.9 SHORT BLOCK fit a 1965 barracuda?... i have a 1965 barracuda with a 273 commando, its stuck i was going to put this other engine into it, will i be able to just put it straight in or will i have to change something?
Answers
1) Drivers side eng mount bracket is different on the 360, and depending on oil pan difference, you may have to get one for a 360 car engine. - done wrenching
2) you have a lot that's different. oil pan ,steering linkage,etc. - badbill1941
3) call these folks - they can tell you exactly what you need to do and suppy you with the parts

4) First are 5.9 magnum engines and older 360 engines the same. That answer is yes. Chrysler left the mounting points on both engines the same. To answer your question of "will a 360 5.9 short block fit" the answer is yes. You will need to shim the mounts. I have had a 65 and currently have a 66 and the swap was very easy. By the way it is very easy to put a late modle 5.9 in and keep the fuel injection. - srtmechinc

Question 2
Are 2007 Chrysler PT Cruisers a bad choice in car?... Answer this putting aside your view on the LOOK of the PT and I want you to focus on the actual mechanics. Please provide examples of problems with the car, etc. etc.
Answers
1) Consumer Reports rates this car as below average as far as overall reliability goes - pickmefirstplz
2) im not sure on the 07 i have an 01 and the tcm has went out on it there has been other issues with the car so i wouldnt recommend the pt cruiser - wesley's mommy
3) As a tech here are the most frequent problems seen on the 2005-2010 Pt Cruisers. Electric fan failure - revised in 2007. Cam sensor failure -revised in 2007. Other than that, most of the later (06 and up) run fine. Some things are driver error (rear handles and release switches torn off) and lack of maintenance. Get a carfax report and check the history of and used car you are considering. Go for a test drive before you buy. - C-Tech

Question 3
Does my 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser have rear spindles?... I am confused because I am being told by different shops that I DO or that I DON'T have "REAR SPINDLES"... I need to get new tires put on the car and I am afraid that if I DO have a bent spindle that it will harm the new tires. I took my car for an alignment at a Tire Shop and while there they (admitted) broke/damaged the left front wheel bearing, which they replaced. Two months later my car is pulling and loose steering, so I take it back to the same shop, and now they are telling me that it has a bent left rear spindle and they cannot get alignment set. QUESTIONS: 1) Does this car actually have rear spindles? 2) How does a spindle get bent? 3) Could the tire shop caused the bent spindle? Help I need to buy tires soon.
Answers
1) rear spindle? a rose by any other name... there is something the wheel is bolted to.call it a spindle or not,,..spindle[or whatever name you give it.. gets bent by pothole...curb... tmaybe warping a rotor with inpact gun
but if bent...its bent and needs work.. - pedro7of9
2) yes it does here is a link for your question http://www.automotix.net/usedautoparts/2004-chrysler-pt_cruiser-rear_spoiler_assembly-inventory.html i have 2003 and its made the same way as the 2004 hope this helps and god bless - kingtiger_6
3) yes it has rear spindles, however they are hard to bend. It could (not likely) be bent by hitting a curb or pothole VERY hard. The tire shop probably did not bend the spindle, they may have done a poor measurement on the alignment. Try another shop for the alignment. - C-Tech

1) My God...no. Don't do this. Sebrings are crap. The terms of your contract are crap (ain't worth 19k and 24%? You'll get repoed). Check EBAY. The fair value is around 11-12k and still not selling...that's with similar mileage.
Please...have common sense or you'll get yourself in a bigger hole with your credit.
PS-->The only reason people trade in a car with 33k miles is because it's crap or a lemon or BOTH.
Edit: 33k on a RENTAL means it DEFINITELY has mechanical issues. Rentals usually have at least 75k on them. - Theneelster
2) 1- It's a Chrysler. DON'T BUY IT!
#2- It's a Sebring. DON'T BUY IT!
#3- The first answer posted nailed it (theneelster) and I just want to reinforce that.
#4- I just looked up Blue Book value and in EXCELLENT Condition with 33,000 miles suggested retail is $13,965.00
http://www.kbb.com/used-cars/chrysler/sebring/2008/retail-value/pricing-report?id=197057&condition=excellent&mileage=33500
RUN! Do not walk, but run away from the dealership. Especially if they are giving you a hard time. The interest rate is appalling, too! You need to find someone that will treat you with respect and not try to pressure you into a crappy car (Chrysler Sebring).
For that money you could get an AWESOME used BMW with more creature comforts and much sportier. They only build sporty. Much more reliable. I love mine.
Bottom line, keep shopping. There are tons of cars out there better than that, and not many that are worse. - billy_clubber_lang
3) There is nothing wrong with buying a Sebring convertible. The deal is bad. They are charging you way more than the car is worth and the interest rate is way high. If your credit is bad, then choose a different, less expensive car and pay it off to build your credit record and have some equity. Try another dealership. Good luck, you can do better. - C-Tech

Question 5
how do you replace a rear windshield in a 2001 pt cruiser?... my boyfriend got the windows tinted and that night we noticed the rear windshield was shattered we had to buy a glass for it and now we are trying to find out how do you put the glass in can anyone please help
Answers
1) u cut out the old glass and remove the sealant....(weather stripping has to b removed first of course) then u buy tube of windshield glue and glue new glass into place...then replace weather stripping......
** on a side note if ur gonna tint rear window will b way easier to do it b4 u install the window just make sure u leave enough room around edges to glue ti back into place... - Karle
2) Call some professional's if this is your first time its not that pricey just for installation, you don't want your rear windshield falling off while you're on the freeway lol. - Alex
